Hello again, thanks for visiting! Hopefully you read my introduction. This blog will be mostly in Japanese, so I can get some extra practice. I will try to update as often as possible outside of regular assignments! A little more about why I am studying Japanese: I am a graduate student in Japanese literature and culture, and I am interested in media studies. I hope to go into translation work for popular media and am interested in the localization process - adapting visual media (movies, video games, etc.) for American audiences. This is the first time I have taken a Japanese class, although I have studied independently for a few months. I hope to progress quickly and take a course in Japan this summer, so I can learn more of the language and also its cultural context.

２０３７年です。わたしは４４さいです。アメリカのシアトルにいます。わたしのうちはちいさいですが、すてきです。日本語をべんきょうしましたから、今わたしのしごとは日本のえいがとビデオゲームのほんやくです。べんきょうはむずかしかったですが、しごとはとてもたのしいです。しごとで、しばしば日本へ行きます。 かぞくはふたりです。わたしとおっとです。しょして、いぬが２ひきいます。月曜日から木曜日の朝まで、オフィスへ行きますが、金曜日にうちではたらきます。毎日いぬとさんぽします。ときどきりょうりをします。ときどきおっとはりょうりをします。時間がありますから、やすみです。本をたくさんよみます。わたしはおかねがじゅうぶんあります。せいかつはとてもすてきです。 このせいかつがほしいです！
